Ray Watterson

When Dean decided to create his own brand way back in 1982 who knew it would become one of the most successful Austalian BMX brands to date. With Crisp still popular today there is a lot to live up to. We started with a blank canvas and designed the CBR-01 race frame from the gound up, prototypes made and extensive testing carried out. The final product we think reflects eveything Crisp stands for and what a great race frame needs to be and proudly designed in Australia.

Crisp CBR-01 frames are all injected with Crisp race DNA & heritage. The way our distinct top chainstays attaches and flows to our distinct curved rear end paying homage to Crisp frames from the early 90’s.

74.5 degree head angle for responsive Steering.

Bold clean graphics designed with subtle hints of crisp herirage.

Ovalised top chainstays combined with a top gusset and crisp signature curve rear end.

Custom designed CNC'd rear dropouts adds that extra detail and finish.

Custom designed formed triangular top tube and hydroformed bottom tube meet to create a solid front triangle.

Low stand over height means better manoeuvrability in the air and on the track.

Low centre of gravity BB geometry for fast acceleration out the gate, stable jumping and hooking into tight corners.

Tapered rear bottom chainstays combined with the top chainstays creates one stiff rear drive train.

The CBR-01 comes in a choice of 3 distinct colourways, each give the frame its own personality. All frames are painted gloss with decals under clear coat.
